My blood for the earth

This performance evolved from my artist residency in Greece with Duende, a British theater / performance company.

I was grieving the loss of a dear friend and grateful for the magical spirit of this ancient land. The work My Blood for the Earth is a shamanic performance, which fuses my practical artistic skills with ritual.

For the first time I used my voice in a performance, synched to the beat of a drum, I invoked invisible forces. In this performance I use all aspects of the sacred feminine that I had revealed in Moi-Femme… Moi-Peau. This time not using my usual interaction with the audience, I found myself face to face with the beauty of nature. This allowed me to reinforce the sense of presence, which is key to my work.
